Software Installation for Computer Classrooms and Labs

Here’s the “How-To” on having instructional software installed in any of the computer classrooms or labs:

• Contact the Helpdesk at 4427 or help @qcc.mass.edu. Ideally, required software should be provided to the Helpdesk prior to the appropriate break preceding the semester*.

• Please provide original licensing for each system the software is to be installed on.

• Please allow from 24 hrs to 2 weeks notice (dependent upon room schedule) so that we can arrange access to the Lab to get it installed. Be aware that installation of Ad-Hoc can take from 15 to 45 minutes per system sometimes longer.

*Please be aware that to maintain stability, administrative access to desktop computers is restricted. This means that only IT staff can install software on these systems.
