Select your topic by examining ideas and issues presented in the text readings. Complete a bibliography listing eight sources for the research project. Use All Souls or another text readings and one or two articles from the sources listed on the course web site. Use the library databases to find additional resources for a total of eight. Annotate the sources; the annotation is a 40-80 word statement about the purpose of each source and its value for your essay. You may also comment on the writer's credibility or bias. Follow MLA style of documentation.
All sources must be ordered and formatted according to
MLA. The directions for this formatting are outlined in
Using
Modern Language Association Format, a handout from the Purdue OWL.
Use the term Works Cited for the bibliography title. For the annotation write one or two sentences describing the source's purpose
and its value to your investigation. For examples see the
sample bibliography.
