Hiking Trails on Mt. Monadnock--Summit View To the White Mountains
You can see the White Mountains of New Hampshire on a clear day from the summit of Mt. Monadnock. Many people wonder if Mt. Washington is visible. On the clearest days, you can see the highest peak in New England, almost exactly 105 miles north-northeast (about 22 degrees azimuth, 37.5 degrees magnetic). The photo below has been enhanced considerably to make the far distant mountains on the horizon more visible. It can be used as a guide on your next climb up Monadnock.
