This site is under construction.
This course syllabus has changed. Please check back for it later. In brief, the course will take field trips of one to two days, sometimes possibly longer, to various interesting locations.  For Summer 2004, we anticipate one to two day trips within New England, possibly to Boston, Providence, Coastal Maine, and the Berkshire Hills.

Come back for information on registering for this course or joining the trip.

Course Description:
Through the use of one or more field trips to dramatic locations, this course presents a general background for photography of subjects in addition to people, pets, and everyday events. A hands-on course, it is intended for photographers who seek to improve their skills while photographing subjects such as wild animals, dramatic or noteworthy natural or human-made features, architecture, and desert, ocean, mountain, city or other landscapes at various times of the day or year. The course studies the equipment, films, and other materials necessary to create the best photographs under specific circumstances. Daylong or longer field trips, to a location or locations determined prior to the announcement of the course offering, will be required. The student must provide his/her own photographic equipment (any working camera), film (five rolls minimum), and film processing, as well as any travel and meal expenses. Access to supplies and film processing while on location will be provided whenever practical.
