A Turtoring and Resource Center for Writing and Reading

To date, education research shows that good teachers matter a lot, class size may be less important than
               once thought
and nothing improves student performance as much as one-on-one human tutoring."
The New York Times, Monday, October 11, 2010.

The Communication Skills Center, located in the second floor of the Harrington Learning Center at Quinsigamond Community College, is a tutoring and resource center for writing, as well as those skills integral to the writing process, including reading comprehension, vocabulary development, critical thinking, as well as planning and organization.

The Center offers a variety of services, such as individual and group tutoring, English language conversation groups, reference guides, and a resource lending library.
In addition, every semester the Communications Skills Center offers a series of writing workshops as well as workshops on reading, study, and computer skills.

Students can receive support for writing in any course, from English and ESL, to psychology and chemistry. Reading tutoring is available to students enrolled in any college reading course.
