Resources for Faculty

Faculty are invited to bring classes up to the Communications Skills Center for an orientation to our services and resources. The computer lab is also available for class use. Please request a reservation using the above link. In your email, please include the date and time you are requesting, as well as the course name and number of students.

Tutors are also available for in-class presentations, tutorials, and workshops. Faculty members interested in an in-class visit should contact the Kirsten Patey, Learning Manager, at kpatey-hurd@qcc.mass.edu. A link to Additional Resources includes a bibliography of books and links to various website that are helpful to the teaching of writing in all disciplines.

Writing tutoring is available for free to all QCC students for any class that includes a writing component. Students may visit the Center for walk-in tutoring during our open hours. If you are a faculty member referring a student to the Center and would like that student's tutoring session to focus on certain areas, please fill out a Referral Form, which the student will bring to his or her session.
