National Gallery of Writing


 

 

 

The Quinsigamond Community College Gallery, one of over 800 in the national gallery sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), is now open.

 

You can submit work until the gallery closes in June 2010.

When you click into the page, you will find a link to

 

 

You will be asked to create a login and password and to submit the following information:

 

Create a profile.

There are several questions that you are required to answer before you can proceed. These include:

  • Permission--part 1-3
  • personal information: occupation, age range. (These can be shared—or unclick the checkbox to prevent sharing)
  • optional parts are race/ethnicity designations and permission for NCTE to send you information.

Describe your work. 

 

1) What is the title of the piece you submitting?

 

2) Why is the piece you are submitting important to you?

 

3) In what year did you compose this piece?

 

In the following questions you choose from a variety of responses or you add your own.

 

4) What was your primary purpose in creating this piece?

 

5) What technology or tool did you use to compose this piece?

 

6) To whom did you address this piece?

 

7) What type of piece are you submitting?

The gallery permits only 1 piece per person to be included.

 

The gallery opens on October 20, 2009 and will remain open through June 2010, so later submissions will be on display there as well.
