A "cookie" is sent to your browser to
indicate you have been authorized to access our databases after you have
been validated by our system using your 14 digit Alden Library barcode.
The cookie will only need to be set once during login and it will expire
when you close your browser.
Licensing
agreements for databases supplied by the Alden Library require that
access be extended only to authorized users. This
is the reason access to the Alden Library databases is only
available to current student, faculty or staff members of Quinsigamond
Community College.
If your
computer is not allowing the Alden Library to set a cookie on your
computer, you will not be able to access our databases. Please be sure
cookies are enabled so that your
browser can access resources using
your personal computer.
Cookie permission
can often be controlled through your browser's privacy setting.
You can check your privacy setting for yourself. Determine the browser
version you are using and follow the directions below. (If you are not
sure which version you are using, click on the Help menu and select
“About...” to display the version information). If changing
the privacy setting does not work, there may be another problem. Please
check your personal firewall settings. These may also interfere with
cookies.
