Graduates of this program are qualified for entry-level
positions as electronic or manufacturing equipment technicians. Students may
also continue their education at the bachelor’s level. |
Electromechanical technicians install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a
wide range of computer-driven manufacturing equipment, automated control
equipment, and/or robotic systems. They must understand basic electronics and
computers order to work with a variety of equipment, systems, and manufacturing
processes. The employment outlook for electronic equipment technicians and
robotics technicians suggests strong employment opportunities in this field.
The Transfer Option requires courses in pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, and Physics,
and is recommended for those students planning to continue on toward a
bachelor’s degree.
