Admissions Requirements

• High School diploma or the equivalent
• Must take QCC’s math and English assessment tests to demonstrate competency at the level of MAT 100 and ENG 101 or higher
• One year of high school AP biology with a “C+” or better
• Graduation from an approved Practical Nursing program and current PN licensure
• Advanced placement students considered individually
• **Must meet with EBE office to credential NUR 111 credits prior to registering into NUR 112

 

Next Step

Graduates of the associate's degree in nursing program are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam and/or transfer to a four-year program.


LPNs from other programs or who have graduated from WTI or AVRVP more than five years ago or students requesting transfer from another nursing program (Advanced Standing) for admission into Nursing II.
The candidate must fulfill the following:
• Be a graduate of an approved school of practical nursing or evidence of Advanced Standing.
• Satisfy admission requirements to the Associate Degree program.
• Successfully complete all co-requisites for Nursing I prior to admission into the Transition I course.
• Successfully complete (with a grade of “C” or higher) a one credit Transition course.
