People have visited this site This course covers concepts of
culture, the varieties of human behavior, and the principles governing that
behavior. It focuses on the
relationship among linguistic, economic, political, familial and other
institutions. The student will
become aware of cultural differences and how these differences affect
perceptions and behavior. The
student will explain why specific cultural differences occur and persist, both
in the United States and in other countries.
The student will describe the methods of anthropological fieldwork and
the role of anthropology in the modern world.
