- Media Services invite our faculty and staff to join us for our presentation An overview of A/V technologies at QCC tomorrow (Jan 12, 2012) in room 104 Alfhors. There will be two sessions with a ten minute intermission in between: 5:50PM - 6:50PM, and 7:00PM - 8:00PM. We will be discussing the following:
- The three types of A/V Lecterns available in QCC classrooms
- Basic controls for lecterns and projectors
- A variety of A/V equipment available to the QCC family for classroom or administrative use
- How to handle A/V issues that occur during a class
- How to place Online Media Services Request Forms
- What equipment is available to sign out, and how to go about doing so
- More, depending on questions asked during a Q&A session proceeding our slideshow
- We will also be demonstrating document cameras and/or anything else our attendees express interest in.
- A PDF copy of the hand-outs - based upon the slideshow we will be using for this presentation - is also available right here. It is in full color and contains two slides per page for a total of 16 pages. You can find the hand-out by clicking on this sentence!
- We have also released general lectern instructions for the three types of lecterns available in our classrooms. These are in the process of being posted to each lectern on campus and should be completed by 1/17/2012 - just in time for the Spring semester! - Media Services welcomes new part time A/V Assistant Mike Rana to the team. Mike will be working Mondays through Thursdays from 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM. As soon as his Exchange/E-Mail account is active, we will post his contact information as well as a little more about him. Mike has been working with us since 9/12/2011 and has thus far proven to be a very worthwhile addition to the team.

- We regretfully say goodbye to part time A/V Assistant Dan Burque, who has been with us for three years now. Dan is persuing other opportunities and wish him the best of luck. Dan Burque's last day with QCC is 8/25/2011.
