| Goals of the Quinsigamond Community College Nurse Education Program AND Educational Effectiveness Methodology and Results
EDUCATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS IS DEFINED BY STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT IN THE A.D.N. NURSE EDUCATION PROGRAM AT QUINSIGAMOND COMMUNITY COLLEGE. Using the Quinsigamond Community College A.D.N. and P.N.P. Systematic Plan for Program Evaluation and Assessment of Outcomes, Standard VII states: EDUCATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS There is an identified plan for systematic evaluation including assessment of student academic achievement. Criterion #23: Student academic achievement by program type is evaluated by: graduation rates, licensure pass rates, job placement rates, and program satisfaction. Operational Definition: Student academic achievement is defined through the measurement of graduation rates, licensure pass rates, job placement rates, and program satisfaction as determined by graduates and/or employers. Expected level of achievement as defined by faculty include the following: Graduation rates- Students enrolled in NUR 111 will complete the program within 4 consecutive semesters 50% of the time. NCLEX-RN pass rates-Graduates will successfully pass the NCLEX-RN on the first attempt 90% of the time Job Placement rates-Program graduates, seeking employment, are employed within 1 year of graduation 90% of the time Graduate satisfaction rates-Graduates will report satisfactory program preparation for assumption of an entry level graduate position 90% of the time. Employer satisfaction rates-Employers who respond will report satisfactory graduate performance 90% of the time.
