The QCC Radiologic Technology Program
graduated its first class in 1973, since then, the college has
educated several hundred imaging professionals. Our
graduates work locally at UMass-Memorial, St. Vincent Hospital,
Fallon Clinic, Milford Whitinsville Regional Medical Center,
HealthAlliance, Marlborough Hospital, Heywood Hospital, Harrington Hospital and
Chadwick Medical. Others are employed at some of Boston's
premier medical facilities, including Massachusetts General
Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Brigham &
Women's.
If you are a program alumnus we'd love to

QCC Ionized Laboratory Goes
State-of-the Art
The QCC Radiologic Technology Program
officially joined the digital age in March 2008 with the
installation of our new Fuji CR imaging system. The leased
equipment features an IIP Workstation, FCR image reader and PACS
console. Program Coordinator Linda LeFave noted that it
was difficult to keep teaching imaging from a film based
perspective when all of our clinical affiliates have
transitioned to the newer digital imaging technologies.
For you nostalgia buffs, the old film/screen systems and
processor have not disappeared, yet. Linda noted that the
registry still asks questions related to the older imaging
methods and that it will probably be several years before the
traditional modalities fade into history.
