Radiologic Technology Program Mission

The QCC Radiologic Technology program educates individuals, who upon completion of the program demonstrate entry level skills, knowledge and professional attributes essential to the practice of Radiologic Technology.  Graduates meet the professional responsibilities of caring for patients from a global society, through the integration of personal and professional values, theoretical knowledge and clinical skills.

 

PROGRAM GOALS

The goals of the Radiologic Technology Program are in accordance with nationally recognizedStandards of Practice (ASRT), Standards of Ethics (ARRT) and Standards of Accreditation (JRC/ERT).  Student Learning Outcomes  have been identified to assess the effectiveness of meeting each program goal.

 

GOAL 1:  Graduates demonstrate competence in performing entry-level medical radiography procedures.

Learning Outcome 1:  Students provide effective patient care

Learning Outcome 2:  Students utilize proper positioning/alignment skills

Learning Outcome 3:  Students apply appropriate exposure factors

Learning Outcome 4:   Students employ acceptable radiation safety

GOAL 2:  Graduates exhibit professional and ethical behaviors

Learning Outcome 2:  Students assess image quality according to professional standards

GOAL 4:  Graduates  employ effective written and oral communication skills.

Learning Outcome 2:  Students utlize effective writing skills

Program Effectiveness:

Outcome 1:  Annual credentialing examination pass rate of 75% or better for first attempt.

Outcome 2:  Annual job placement rate of 75% or better within six months of graduation.

Outcome 3:  Annual program completion rate of 75% or better.

Outcome 4:  Graduate satisfaction of 85% or better.

Outcome 5:  Employer satisfaction of 85% or better.
