BE AWARE OF PICKPOCKETS

1. Your need to be wary of people acting drunk or bumping into you. Pickpockets may try to distract you by asking for directions while an accomplice lifts your cash. Stay alert when talking to strangers.

2. Put money in different pockets. Use front pockets. If you divide money up and are a victim of a pickpocket they won’t get all your cash.

3. Use a money belt. These can be hidden under your clothes.

4. Wear the strap of a purse across the front of your body instead of over your shoulder.

5. Keep large amounts of case and most credit at home. Avoid pulling out large wads of cash which may attract attention.

Angry Adam got into an argument with Lovely Lilly at the bus stop. Eventually his noise caused someone to call Officer Bob. Before Officer Bob arrived Angry Adam screamed at Lovely Lilly and hit her with a folder that he was holding. After dropping his folder, Angry Adam ran off.  Officer Bob was able to track Angry Adam down without chasing him because he found his address in the dropped folder, his anger management homework.

Parking Appeal Excuse of the Month: “The vehicle is not used as my primary method of transportation to school. It is not my car, it is borrowed. I was not aware that I was expected to get a sticker for a car that I only took to school once. I feel that a first time warning would be more appropriate”
