Preventing sticker shock
A critical component to successful
transfer is making sure you can afford the school that you are
transferring to. When you apply to the four-year
college(s) of your choice, do expect to see higher tuition and fees than what
you are now paying. But don’t let these high prices intimidate you: apply for
financial aid. Even if you were not eligible for financial aid at QCC, you may become eligible.
Four-year colleges are typically more
expensive than two-year community colleges, especially in New England.
Get organized

aid as a transfer student, view this article:

Student Financial Aid."
Apply for financial aid
Determine your
financial aid eligibility by filling out and submitting the
Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Some institutions, generally private
and selective ones, require another financial aid application called the
CSS Profile to supplement the FAFSA
.
