Community Colleges, State Colleges, and University of Massachusetts
campuses.
- A guaranteed seat in a designated
program or major (although some majors are excluded)
- No application fee or lengthy
application process.

eligible for 1/3 reduction in tuition (day programs) at the four-year

What's required for Joint
Admissions?
- Enroll in a designated QCC
transfer program
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 heading
into the final semester (and at the
time of graduation)
- Have a GPA of 3.0, and be eligible
for 1/3 off tuition at the receiving institution-- TAP benefit)
- Fill out the
Intent To Enroll
form in last
semester at QCC (usually at 45 credits)
- Earn Associate degree--graduate!
- Other restrictions may apply, so
work closely with QCC and Four-Year College Advisors

Commonwealth
Transfer Compact (CTC) is
- An assurance that a minimum of 60
college level credits will transfer to any Massachusetts state college
or UMass campus
- An opportunity to complete general
education requirements that are required at the four-year
college/university
What are the
benefits of the Commonwealth Transfer Compact?
- Guesswork about course
transferability is eliminated
- The general education core taken at
QCC is accepted as a full equal to the general education requirements
at the four-year college/university
- The four-year institution can only
require an additional 68 credits to complete the Bachelor degree.
Change of major is an exception.
- Courses that generally do not
transfer, such as technical courses, may be accepted under the CTC.
What's required for
the Commonwealth Transfer Compact?
- Complete a general education core of
college level courses, including
--English Composition and
Literature 6 credits
--Behavioral & Social Sciences
9 credits
--Humanities & Fine Arts
9 credits
--Natural & Physical Sciences
8 credits
--Mathematics (MAT 100 or higher)

- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or
higher

Tuition Advantage Program (TAP)
is
It is a waiver of 1/3 of the
in-state tuition rate at the Massachusetts State College or University
of Massachusetts campus for the first year. Maintain a 3.0 the
following year at the four-year college and receive a 1/3 tuition
waiver for the second year as well. To be eligible for
TAP you must be enrolled in a designated Joint Admission program of
study. Currently, most colleges honor TAP only for Fall
and Spring semester day classes. Other restrictions may apply
